Exploring the difference between the 'SELECT ... INTO' and 'INSERT ... SELECT' insert statements and how SQL Server behaviour changes when using one or the other.

19:00 - "Slow running query due to Optimizer timeout" by Karl Grambow

A high-level look at the how the SQL Server optimizer works and what it means when the optimizer times out, the impact it has on query execution, and how to avoid it.

20:00 - "Introduction to Azure IoT" by Chris Kirk

Azure IoT services allow businesses to consume data from end-devices at large scale, and this can be consumed all in real-time. This session will introduce what IoT means in Azure, how you can get your data into the cloud and how we can take action on newly discovered insights from all corners of our connected world.
